Confidentiality of Participant Information
All participant information regarding registration, attendance, and participation shall remain confidential to Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC. and all employees.
Any information collected from participants in professional development and continuing education opportunities shall be stored in a secure manner for 5 years.
Program Complaints
If a participant or potential participant would like to express a concern about the Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC. or a continuing education program provided by Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC, the individual may email sociajusticecounselingnetwork@gmail.com. Although we do not guarantee a particular outcome, Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC will consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions, and respond within 30 days of receiving the complaint.
Fees, Refunds, & Cancellations
Fees for professional development and continuing education opportunities will be decided in collaboration between the Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC and/or presenters.
Fees for participants professional development and continuing education shall be made transparent during registration and via advertising on our website, third party resources, and promotional materials
The Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC reserves the right to provide discounted fees for professional development. Discounted fees and eligibility for discounts will be transparently presented to all participants.
Refunds can be requested by participants due to inability to fully attend professional development opportunities that participants register for. Participants will be informed of processed refunds within 7 days of the request.
Unless otherwise specified, all refunds will be processed via the platforms through which participants pay while registering.
Participants may cancel registration at any point prior to the start of professional development events and receive a refund.
Confidentiality Breaches
In the event of a confidentiality breach of information entrusted to the Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC, the Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC will transparently communicate with all affected parties regarding regarding the nature of the confidentiality breach and actions being taken by Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC to mitigate the breach and secure participant information from future breaches.
Attendance
Verification of attendance is essential to receive a certificate of completion. Thus, completing attendance as instructed is essential. Attendance verification will entail 1) registration for the professional development and 2) completion of program evaluation at the end of the event.
No credit will not be provided for failure to complete the first step of attendance verification (registration for the event).
Participants who have completed registration, but have failed to complete the program evaluation in a timely manner may request an extension of up to 30 days after the event to receive a certificate.
Record Keeping & Retention
Records (e.g., attendance, certificates, etc.) will be maintained for 5 years from the date of participation in professional development. After the 5-year period ends, records will be permanently deleted unless otherwise requested from participants.
Disclosure or Use of Client Information in a CE Program
Information and examples used throughout professional development will not disclose client information without prior documented informed consent for use of such information in a professional development and continuing education context.
Participants in professional development will not disclose client information during professional development and continuing education events without documented informed consent to disclose client information in such contexts.
Examples of case related information shared during professional development may include hypothetical scenarios and composite case examples.
ADA Accommodations
Participants may request accommodations prior to participation in professional development and continuing education events prior to the event. The Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC. will review all requests for accommodations and respond within a timely manner. If the Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC. deems the request for accommodation reasonable, but is unable to fulfill the accommodation request within a manageable timeframe, the Social Justice Counseling Network, LLC. will 1) transparently communicate that with the participant, 2) collaborate with the participant towards a resolution to the inability to currently make the requested accommodation, and 3) develop a plan to fulfill related accommodations in the future.
